Overall this hotel is amazing. I usually go to Nusa Lembongan for beautiful ocean views and clean water, but it's right here, just 90 minutes from Ubud! The town doesn't have much, so would not recommend for a long stay, but it's absolutely wonderful for a peaceful getaway.
Pros:
-Absolutely STUNNING views and grounds (every room is an ocean view)
- Quiet, peaceful, gorgeous pool, lots of sun (even in rainy season)
- Wonderful, friendly staff
- Very clean rooms, each with a little patio and chairs
- Literally steps to the ocean, and the beach is clean

You wouldn't notice there's actually a homestay inside since you have to come thru a restaurant/bakery but it was quite enjoyable. Rooms felt really private and quiet. The room and bed was really comfy and spacious. Location is unbeatable on the heart of Candidasa.
On average, 3-star hotels in Candidasa cost $48 per night, and 4-star hotels in Candidasa are $99 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Candidasa can be found for $407 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
Candidasa is a great place. We went to Vincent’s Restaurant for great food and warm live jazz. A must to go and please book for the live jazz. Also some very nice shops. Not a lot but interesting. Lots of restaurants.

There's not a whole lot to do in Candidasa unless you take one of the trips on offer. There's no beach to speak of so swimming in the ocean isn't possible. There's only one road and it's used by all the traffic travelling along the coast - which makes it very noisy and crossing the road can be an adventure. Lots of the restaurants focus on western cuisine - pasta and pizza feature prominently - but there are some that offer fabulous Balinese and Indonesian dishes. The best I found was called Bintang - fabulous local food and very reasonably priced in a very pleasant setting.

Wonderful starting base for exploring quiet beaches, waterfalls, forest. A visit to the oldest traditional village with traditional handicrafts was exceptional for me. Virgin Beach is one of the best beaches in Bali. Prices are much lower than in others tourist regions.

We took trips snorkling and snorkling and fishing for half a day for 500,000rpn you can negotiate but it is a very fair price! had a amazing time and sites with local fisherman from the docks 50 feet away.,You melt in to the settings culture and food and get recharged,,We were happy to spend most of our time here at the resort!

Candi Dasa is a beautiful place and I hope it doesn't change...
Candi Dasa is a beautiful place and I hope it doesn't change like other places in Bali. so many places to visit while there as well. If your looking for peace and quiet and to get away from it all this is the place. Please keep it this way.
The Property has a beautiful laid back feel to it. East Bali is much more laid back than West Bali- it is almost like a different country. The bar is especially beautiful with south facing lawn and terrace seating. Putu the bartender mixes good classic and innovative local cocktails. We ate breakfast every morning at the hotel with a good quantity of food and again special dishes like Balinese Bubur and a very good Herb egg white omelette. Finally a special mention of the staff who were efficient, helpful and pleasant to deal with.
There are six bungalows plus a family one and a private villa. Immaculate. Very handy to the Water Palace and the other water gardens. Also to do the waterfall tour. We have been to Bali many times before but this time decided to go to Candidasa again and saw the incredibly priced 48 Resort. We had stayed at two luxury hotels in Nusa Dua and Legian and 48 more than held its own. Charming and really helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble - Puti, Ulee and Sararsh were outstanding (sorry about the spelling). A wonderful stay.
I love everything about this place. It is strategically located in Candidasa, everything (food, supermarket etc) is just within walking distance. Even if you don’t go out they have a nice restaurant and bar to have eat and drink. The swimming pool was fantastic, huge outdoor area, and the room was spacious and comfy. Staffs were helpful. I would definitely consider staying again
Great location, cool sea breeze, very large rooms, excellent aircon, comfortable bed and excellent pillows! Individual bungalows in the Balinese style with high timber ceilings. Staff very attentive and friendly as were the other guests. Good security overnight. Excellent Le Zat restaurant next door offers a discount for Geringsing guests. Very good value for money.
Very nice hotel, friendly villas equipped with everything you need. Nice pool in the middle of the facility, cosy restaurant, a bit small sometimes. The larger villa was less nice, I would not pay more to book it again, the smeller villas are much better placed and structured.
The restaurant is really good, we ate the only decent pizza in Bali here.
Realy nice, picturesque resort, our last calm place in Bali before other much crowded. Nice, small willage with shops and restaurants arround, quite nice snorkeling spot right on the small beach. For me as absolute beginner it gave a joy. Very clean, maintained, for me personaly even maybe too much luxury vibe.
the staff are very friendly and have high level of service. the hotel is a good location for us. the food served in the restaurant is good quality. our room was very clean and well supplied. we had ocean view room and view is amazing. loved the fishing boats on the beach in front of hotel.
The hotel’s view is second to none. Waking up to the ocean and the surrounding trees is a delight. The rooms are spacious and charming, plus the staff are welcoming and attentive. If you want to see the East of Bali, it’s the best place to base yourself . We will certainly be back!
Next to the calmest waters in Bali and it has a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff is very nice and the location is next to an Indomart convenience store. The beach is just behind the hotel, so it's easy to get to and enjoy- do watch the first step as it is very steep!
best and nicest hotel in Candidada! the best! fantastic seaview out of the room, you can jump into the sea, out of your room! the best beds also.... and last but not least: best breakfast from Bali! staff is so sweet and helpful, We were totaly happy here!
I have travelled the world and this is one of my favorite spots. I live in Bali and bring friends from around the world here. It is peaceful. The sea, the beach, the lovely lawn and trees with the family cow all make for a great paradise.
This place is beautiful and comfortable! It was one of the best places I stayed during my trip to Bali. Everyone that works there is wonderful, kind, and helpful. The breakfast was lovely and the restaurant is fantastic. Highly recommend!
Staff were very warm and courteous. They were very helpful and attentive to our requests. Breakfast was nicely set everyday. Loved the Bali coffee. Villa has a idyllic location and only a short walk to the beach. Rooms were spacious.
Magnificent hotel, even if you’re not going to dive. If you see it from the outside you can’t imagine how beautiful the bungalows are, the bathroom was something else and the staff was so kind.
Ida's Homestay was exactly what I wanted it to be, 7 days of authentic Balinese accommodation, hospitality and experiences...wonderful sunsets, sea breezes and new friendships.
